Beginner agility

Saturday mornings at 10:00 am

Thursdays at 10:00 am & 6:30 pm

Just starting out?  This class will teach the foundational obstacle skills and the handling skills you need to help develop your agility team.  We will safely introduce dogs to all obstacles including open chennel weaves and touch plates.  Handlers will learn the foundational handling skills including front and rear crosses.  We will also introduce distance skills, and directional commands.  Students will stay in this level until the dogs are fluent on all obstacles, and handlers have achieved the skills needed for the novice competition level .

We encourage handlers of all types of dogs to play agility with us.  Dogs and handlers need to be in good physical condition and ready to have fun!

Novice/Intermediate agility

Saturday mornings at 9:00 am

For students who have successfuly trained all of the obstacles and are working on sequencing, handling and course skills.  Sequences will utilize front and rear crosses.  Distance handling skills will also be developed. Weave poles performance should be "closed channel" or nearly closed to participate at this level.

These students are typically competing in the Novice and Open/Advanced agility competitions, though students are not required to compete to participate in our classes.

Obedience Classes!

Perfect for beginners!  Our 8 week class meets one hour weekly for 8 weeks.  Our beginner class works a variety of good manners behaviors such as: walking nicely on leash, sit, down, stay, leave it and come.  Owners will learn how to redirect undesirable behavior and how to encourage appropriate dogskills.  Topics often include jumping up, chewing, housetraining and other "life skills."  Students are encouraged to use clickers to mark good behaviors and reward with a variety of food, treats, toys and affection.  Various training collars may be used in this class, your instructor will help you determine which collar is right for you.

Saturdays afternoons at 1:30 pm
